Choose a rise and recline chair for comfort and support

November 3rd, 2008

Rise and recline chairs are usually electrically operated. They are powered by mains electricity. Some types of chairs come with battery back-up so they can even be operated in the event of a power cut. Two main types are available, namely single motor or dual motor units.

The single motor chair will facilitate a user to rise and lower oneself and also be able to adjust both the back as well as foot rest - at the same time.  Also, the back and foot rests can be independently adjusted on the dual motor chairs.

There are different types of rise and recline chairs. Each one of them offers a different level of support and comfort for the user. Before buying a chair, you should consider the ease of operation. Select a chair that provides different seating positions and comfort.

Dependent on your budget, you can get rise and recline chairs that come with different user-friendly features. For instance, top of the range adjustable chairs are fitted with heated or massage seating. The height and weight of the user also need to be taken into consideration while buying these chairs. They come in different sizes to suit people of different sizes.
